Played here first time today, showed up/walk on and got right out. I shot a 104, which is usual for me on a par 72 course. Very challenging course, and I think if I played here again it would be easier to navigate the layups and bunkers better. All in all I found the course lots of fun, fairly easy to walk, with a great staff, great greens, interesting grass on the fairways?? kinda brownish and low cut, but good to play on. A little expensive, but they say it keeps the crowd down? Maybe so, pace was quick, no waiting, played 18 in 5 hours. Would definitely go back!

Just played a round here for the first time with 3 of my friends. My expectations were low since all the reviews here complain about this course. I only play municipal courses, and new to LA (East Coast native). After playing at many of the local courses (Rancho, Hansen, Whittier, Woodley, Hondo, Knollwood, Brookside, Royal Vista, to name a few) I have to say THIS IS MY FAVORITE COURSE BY FAR!

Not to say it's perfect by any means, but the course is relatively long compared to most others I've played. Design wise, it has it's share of challenges (namely bunkers.. lots of them), but overall playability suits people in the single and low double digit handicaps. Greens were crazy fun to put on. Lots of breaks, and relatively well maintained.

Did not experience any of the issues with the ground crew as expressed here. As a matter of fact, I only saw them once in my entire round. And even being next to an airport, this is one of the most serene public courses I've played on. It's kind of funny that people even complain about the grounds crew actually keeping the grounds during a round, when there's helicopters and planes landing just a mile away.

golf cart GPS actually WORKED, and worked great. Usually they're broken and/or inaccurate. These were right on, and even let you order food at the 9th, which also by the way is affordable and good. Breakfast Burrito for under 6 bucks.

Move's much faster then most courses in and around L.A.

Only complaint, it's a tad bit overpriced. But after having such a good experience, and comparing it to my 5.5 hr rounds at Rancho waiting at each tee for 15 mins, it's almost worth the premium.
