We played this course recently and was extremely disappointed in the condition of the course. The back nine of the Yorktown course was the only part of the course that even resembled caretaking. As many have indicated prior....$25 tops. If this is rated top ten golf courses in Virginia.....are there only 10 courses?

Played this course many times in company tournaments and it has never been in great shape. I would rate this a good $25 course, no more.

I guess the greens are always in terrible shape at this course. It's a nice layout, but they need to figure out how to manage their greens. A dry summer is not an excuse, other courses around have beautiful greens. Put some money in to maintenance or hiring a new greens keeper.

We played the Jamestown course today. Do not waste your money going to this course. The most unfriendly place I have ever been to. The person in the pro shop hardly even looked at me when I checked in let alone talk. Acted like I was intruding on his time. The greens were absolutely horrible. I have never seen greens in that shape anywhere. The rest of the course was in average condition. They should tell you before you plunk down $60 that the greens are almost unplayable.

Not what a resort area golf course should be. Unfriendly staff from the time of arrival to the end of the round. Greens in horrible shape. One staff member blamed the warm weather (course had sprinklers everywhere) No starter, asked about one and answer was - he might show up. Glad I didn't pay too much for this experience Date of Play 8/15/2011

Do not waste your time. Jack Nicklaus would be embarrassed to have his name associated with this course. The maintenance and upkeep was below par. Poor condition tee boxes, poor condition sand traps. Many bare spots.

Was a nice course, but for my money I would go to Fords Colony which was cheaper and superior. This course was very overpriced after you play at Fords.
