This is a great course. Very well maintained. Interesting layout with tight fairways and many blind shots. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. Great value for your money. We ate in the restaurant after and enjoyed it very much. Staff was friendly and inviting. The food was delicious and big portions. High recommend this course.

Played this course yesterday with some buddies, had a great time. I like to enjoy a round on a course that the staff takes care of, the greens were rolling at a great pace, play was moving never ran into the group in front of us. rough was nice a short so play can keep moving unlike other courses in the area. will play this course again in the near future and will tell all my out of town guests to play this gem in southern rhode island!

Nice, fun course.

Played Beaver River on a nice late-April afternoon. The course was in pretty good shape, especially for this being early in the season.

Beaver River is not very long - just 6,006 yards from the back tees. On most holes if you keep your drives straight, you usually just have a very short iron to the green. That doesn't mean all the holes are easy-ish though. Hole #8 is a tough long 439 yard par 4 and hole 12 is a very hilly and tough 453 yard par 4 with an environmental area to clear about 50 yards in front of the green. Their finishing hole, #18 is a 410 yard par 4 with water partially protecting the green. Many holes are of the 330ish yard variety where a good drive can leave just a short iron to the green.

The cost is reasonable - a weekend round cost $45 with cart.

In summary, a nice course. While we are from NYC, we frequently travel to Newport and try to make it a point to play this course on the ride home.

I really enjoyed playing this course. It was in great shape, the layout was fun and challenging, and the customer service was great. Best of all, it was a great value at only $25 to walk 18 (Guessing these are winter rates). Best value course I've played in New England and one of the better overall courses.
