Woodbridge Golf Links is back and it's better than ever.

This course reopened in September 2019 after being closed for five years and the improvements the new owners have made are fabulous.

The Bermuda grass greens have never looked better and resemble something you would see at a pricey country club. Every golfer on the course raves about the greens and how true they play since the renovation. When the course first reopened, the greens were the highlight. Now after a full year of operation, the fairways have improved to the same top level as the greens. You will be shocked at how manicured this course looks, especially considering the price you are paying to play.

The layout at Woodbridge has always been fantastic. The holes are scattered across a beautiful area and you never feel like you are playing on top of golfers on other holes. Mature trees are everywhere, offering a nice challenge and a gorgeous view, especially this time of year when the leaves are just beginning to change colors.

The first four holes drop you right into nature as they form almost a perfect square around a lush wooded area. Additional holes take you over rolling hills, alongside natural creeks (where you might see a busy beaver or two) and hitting over several ponds. The course is a par-72 over 6,743 yards from the back tees but feels like it plays longer because of the changes in elevation.

It is a challenging course, but not so much that the average golfer will be scared away. The bunkers are scattered throughout the fairways and are really starting to take shape. Last year they were still being worked on after opening, but now they look great.

The snack bar is open for refreshments so be sure to grab a loaded hot dog or burger and a beer at the turn.

Another neat feature at Woodbridge is the 24-hour lighted driving range. Just purchase your driving range tokens from the pro shop during business hours and come back to hit balls whenever you would like.

The green fees are very reasonable for the experience with a round of 18 costing around $35. The owners are friendly and take pride in the course they have brought back to life.

Located just 35 minutes from Charlotte, Woodbridge Golf Links is a charming gem that you should definitely check out when in the area.

Woodbridge is back!! I have been playing this course since the early 90's and it is in the best shape in years. The greens are great, the fairways are great. I paid $25 for 18 holes on Friday which is an incredible deal. If you haven't played Woodbridge lately you owe it to yourself to play this course.

Woodbridge Golf Course has really come a long way in getting back to being a good quality course. It like most of the courses in the area that have Bent Grass greens had a hard summer. I will have to say the staff there has worked hard to bring things back up to par. The course is looking better than it has looked in a long time. I played there this past week and all but 1 or 2 greens ( still minor problems ) have been totally recovered and are playing and looking very good. I would recommend this course to anyone that likes a challenging layout at a very reasonable price.
