Nobody in the foursome I play with had played there yet, I got a good price from GolfNow.com, so we thought we'd play a round there. I go to check in at the Pro-Shop, and after politely waiting for the guys behind the counter to finish their story about what they had done the night before, one of the guys checks me in and takes my money as if I'm interrupting his story time. He tells me I can pick up my cart by where I came in, then goes back to story time with his buddy. I didn't really think much of it and went to the range, which was OK despite the 50's music blaring over the PA system (even on the 1st tee). Again I didn't really get too upset, we teed off and started our round. Since we had never been there before, and have played a few courses with no "cart girl" or one that you only see once during a round, we each brought one beer and a Gatorade. The cart girl runs into us at the 4th or 5th hole, says we can't have the beer, takes them and pours them out on the spot. Again, we understood, most places have that policy, so we didn't put up a fuss and kept on playing. At the turn we each bought a beer from the cart girl, gave her a larger than usual tip and played on. At hole 16 the cart girl pulls up and says we have to leave the course because she found a beer can in the garbage at hole 7 and assumed it was ours. However, she did say that we could finish the last couple of holes if she could search our bags and if she didn't find any more beer. We let her look, she didn't find anything and we finished our round. I liked the layout of the course. It wasn't in great shape, but it was OK. We will be going back. If they are going to be that strict on the "no outside beverages" policy, maybe the guy in the Pro-Shop should save story time for off-duty and warn new visitor about the strict enforcement.

For a 30+ handicapper like my wife, it is a great oppurtunity to break par. Her best score was 109 on 9 holes, but now it is 62 (18 holes). You could get away with hitting a 265 hybrid all around the course. I wish you the best and hope this boosts your confidence. But I think this is waayyyyyyyyy too much $ for a recretional golfer.
