What Makes the Chrome Soft X LS Faster?

To achieve the maximum distance off the tee, Callaway went straight to the heart of it newest ball. The four-piece Chrome Soft X LS has four-piece construction with a new larger SoftFast core that works in conjunction with the soft inner mantle and highly resilient outer mantle for blazing fast ball speeds off the clubface. The straight flight path cuts through wind and provides even more distance, already making the X LS an attractive option for Tour golfers.

The fourth piece of this premium golf ball is the thin urethane cover that is designed to go fast and far with little spin on long shots, yet high spin and low launch in your short game.

Is the Chrome Soft X LS Golf Ball Forgiving?

You might expect a high-performance golf ball with such speed capabilities to be very unforgiving. While the feel isn’t as soft as some other balls – the Callaway Chrome Soft X golf ball, for example – the ball still has good control around the greens.

How Does the Chrome Soft X LS Compare to Other Chrome Soft Golf Balls?

The original Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft X golf balls target low-handicap golfers who has a fast swing and want less ball spin. The Chrome Soft X LS takes that concept to another level allowing golfers to reach the fastest spin of any of the three balls when hit with a driver. The spin with a driver is low, similar to the Chrome Soft ball, but less than the Chrome Soft X.

The Chrome Soft X LS ball is most similar to the Chrome Soft, but with notably faster ball speed and a slightly harder feel. Like the Chrome Soft, the Chrome Soft X LS is designed for a straight flight pattern.
