Queenstown Harbor Golf Links is home to two courses, the perfectly playable Lakes course and the much more scenic and challenging River course. The course was designed by Lindsay B. Ervin in 2011 and stands at 7,110 yards from the tips. Water comes into play heavily on the course, with several forced carries sprinkled throughout. The course is well maintained and provides ample challenge for all skill levels, though higher handicappers may want to stick to the Lakes course. Weather is also a factor so be sure and check local wind speeds.

The course uses a lot of strategy, with high risk/reward shots as well. The course’s bucolic atmosphere will put you at ease as you work to tame this beautiful property. Maryland National Golf Club sits in Central Maryland in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains and represents one of Arthur Hills best designs. The course is carved from the natural terrain and uses both wetlands and elevation changes to keep it interesting. The course offers beautiful views and the 6,811 yards means it is more playable than many championship courses in terms of lengths, but don’t be deceived, Maryland National is one of the state’s toughest tests.

The back 9 takes place on a flatter track of land and provide golfers with a more traditional layout, one that may leave the hackers happy but can feel like a let down after the blood and thunder of the front 9.
