The Best Golf Bluetooth Speakers of 2024
Find the best golf cart speakers and golf speakers for walkers of 2024
Ten years ago, you could draw some serious side-eye for playing some background beats on the golf course. How dare you create an enjoyable atmosphere while spending four hours outdoors bantering with your best friends?
For better or worse (better), things have changed. Today, music on the golf course is not only acceptable, but it’s becoming the rule rather than the exception. So much so that some of the most reputable brands in golf technology now make sophisticated golf-specific Bluetooth speakers.
In 2024, many golf Bluetooth speakers are in their second generation, and we even have the introduction of golf earbuds. Today’s golf Bluetooth speakers truly add entertainment to your day on the golf course.
I got the inside scoop on the best golf Bluetooth speakers at the 2024 PGA Show, and these are the best of 2024.
Best Golf Cart Speaker: Blue Tees Player+
Of the handful of features that a golf Bluetooth speaker can offer, the Blue Tees Player+ seemingly has them all, which is why we tabbed it the best golf Bluetooth speaker of 2024.
The Player+ is the only golf Bluetooth speaker that offers a glass touchscreen display. Swipe through the screen for hole layout, distances to front, center, and back of the green, distances to hazards, drive distance, and control your music.
From a sound standpoint, the Player+ is once again at the top of the class. With four speakers inside, including subs on the top and bottom and a speaker on each side, the Player+ gives you premium, 360-degree sound.
“Number one, while it is a GPS speaker, it is a speaker first and foremost,” Blue Tees co-founder Drew Koehler told GolfLink. “If we’re on the golf course, if we’re listening to music, we want it to sound good.”
The Player+ carries over some standout features from the original Blue Tees Player speaker, like the magnetic cart mount, premium sound, and sleek styling. Battery life is around 10 hours.
While there’s nothing we don’t like about the Player+, there are a couple things to consider. Given the features, the $200 price tag is justified, but if you’re on a budget and are willing to sacrifice some features, there are more affordable speakers out there. Secondly, if you prefer to walk when you play, even only sometimes, you may want to consider a more compact speaker. Yes, you can get a magnetic attachment to mount the Player+ to your golf bag, but it’s still a big speaker if you’re not in a cart.
Blue Tees Player+ Features, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: 10 hours
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes
- Display: Yes - Touchscreen
Pros:
- Glass touchscreen display with hole layout distances to front, center and back, last shot distance, distances to hazards, and music controls
- Magnetic cart mount
- 4 speakers, 360-degree sound

- Built-in power bank to charge your phone
- Seal on charge port protects from rain/water damage
Cons:
- Top of the golf Bluetooth speaker price spectrum
- Walkers may want to consider a more compact speaker
Bushnell Wingman View
The Bushnell Wingman View adds a few fun features to its predecessor, including an LCD display with GPS distances. The Wingman View gives the Blue Tees Player+ a run for its money for best overall golf cart Bluetooth speaker, boasting an LCD screen with GPS distances to go along with premium sound and a long-lasting battery.
The Wingman View offers a detachable remote so golfers can get audible GPS distances with the push of a button, even when they aren’t within reach of the speaker. The View also has first tee introductions, a cool feature to set the tone for a fun day on the course with your favorite music and playing partners.
The large magnetic strip is a dead giveaway that the Wingman View is made to be one of the best golf cart speakers on the market. It’s built for premium sound with some cool golf features, not for golfers looking to lighten their load for an 18-hole walk.

TecTecTec Team8 S
TecTecTec Team8 S Bluetooth golf speaker
The TecTecTec Team8 S is the only speaker on this list that you can actually just stick in your pocket while you play golf, making it one of the best golf Bluetooth speakers for walkers. If you want the best sound from the most compact GPS golf Bluetooth speaker, the TecTecTec Team8 S is it.
I prefer to walk when I play golf, and the Team8 S became my go-to speaker on the course because of its lightweight, compact design that you can stick in your pocket, on your belt, or mount to your bag without it dangling and bouncing around. But not every golfer has those same priorities, and at the $100 price point, the Team8 has some stiff competition in the Bushnell Wingman Mini (for walkers).
The Team8 S isn’t much bigger than a golf ball, and whether you drop it in your pocket in place of that second spare ball, or use the magnetic clip to stick it to your belt, you truly won’t notice it on you while you play. You can also use the magnetic mount to clip it to your golf bag, or the loop to hang it next to your towel.
Besides being the only golf Bluetooth speaker you can keep on your person during a round of golf, the Team8 S gives audible GPS distances and even tracks the distance of your last shot with the push of a button.
For its size, the Team8 S turns out high-quality sound, but it wouldn’t be a fair comparison to put it in the same class as a Bushnell Wingman View or Blue Tees Player+, which are built to be true golf cart speakers and crank out better sound.
Battery life on the Team8 S is up to eight hours with normal usage, or a little less if you take full advantage of the GPS features and crank the volume up.
TecTecTec Team8 S Specs, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: Up to 8 hours
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes
- Display: No
- 3 color options (black, gray, yellow)
- Includes clip to attach to golf bag, ideal for walkers
Pros:
- Audible GPS distances to front, center, and back of the green; end of the fairway
- Compact design
- Audio designed for personal use
- Measure shot distances
- Belt clip makes it wearable
- Surprisingly unnoticeable when clipped on belt
Cons:
- Competing with some more robust speakers at the $100 price point
- Sound is good but not great
TecTecTec! Team8 S Review: The Compact Bluetooth Speaker
Best Value Golf Cart Speaker: GolfBuddy Voice XL
You can pay top dollar for a robust golf cart speaker, with the GolfBuddy VoiceXL, you don’t have to.
If the Player+ is the Cadillac of Bluetooth golf cart speakers, the Voice XL is the Toyota. It’s quite good, and if you can live without some of the luxuries, you’ll save some money. That’s why it gets our Best Value tag among golf speakers.
We love that the Voice XL has a large, easy-to-read display, even if it is always horizontal. With two speakers inside, a 20-watt woofer and a 10-watt tweeter, it turns out great sound. However, perhaps the coolest feature the Voice XL offers is the remote clip. Easily clip it to your belt or hat, or just stick it in your pocket, and you’re always a click away from audible GPS distances.
No, it doesn’t have four speakers packed inside, or a glass touchscreen like the Player+, but if you can live without those bells and whistles, and still want an excellent golf speaker, consider the GolfBuddy Voice XL.
GolfBuddy Voice XL Features, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: Up to 10 hours
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes
- Display: Yes
- Detachable remote with clip for audible GPS distances in one click
- Power bank to charge other devices
- Dual speaker build: 1 woofer & 1 tweeter
Pros:
- Large display is easy to read
- Remote with clip for audible distances
- Great value
Cons:
- Display is always horizontal
- Not ideal for walkers
Best Golf Speaker for Walkers: Bushnell Wingman Mini
Bushnell Wingman Mini golf Bluetooth Speaker
We’ve tabbed the Bushnell Wingman Mini as the best golf Bluetooth speaker for walkers. The Wingman Mini combines quality sound with some great golf functionality in a carryable size and an accessible price point. But don’t get us wrong, the Wingman Mini is also a great speaker for golfers who use a cart, or do some of both.
While the Bushnell Wingman Mini is the best golf Bluetooth speaker for walkers, it’s also the most well-rounded golf Bluetooth speaker. We love that it has a strong magnet and a loop, allowing you to easily mount it to your cart or clip it to your bag. This appeals to golfers who sometimes walk, sometimes take a cart, and always want their music.
A little larger than the Team8 S, you won’t stick the Wingman Mini in your pocket, but you can expect slightly better sound from the Wingman Mini, a tradeoff we suspect many golfers will be happy to make.
The Wingman Mini also features audible first tee introductions, GPS distances, and offers 10+ hours of battery life.
Finally, the Wingman Mini has a built-in microphone, allowing you to take calls on the golf course, in case you need to give anybody a heads up that you’ll be taking advantage of the replay rate.
Bushnell Wingman Mini Features, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: 10+ hours
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes
- Display: No
- Audible first tee introductions
- Built-in microphone allows you to take calls through the speaker

TecTecTec Team8 E Earbuds
If you’ve never heard of golf earbuds before, that’s because these earbuds from TecTecTec are the world’s first golf earbuds.
Like any good golf speaker, these golf earbuds give GPS distances information. Simply tap the right earbud once to get distances to the front, middle and back of the green. A double-tap gives you the yardage to the closest hazard. Tapping the left earbud pauses and plays the music.
The charging case can recharge the earbuds up to three times, and the on-course battery life is up to nine hours. Since these are designed to be used when you’re playing solo, that battery life basically guarantees 36 holes between charges.
Of course, wearing earbuds on the golf course comes with some risks and drawbacks. These are designed to be used when you’re playing alone, not for enjoying your own personal soundtrack while blocking out your playing partners. You also want to make sure to use them at a volume that still allows you to hear, and be aware of, your surroundings.
TecTecTec Team8 E Earbuds Features, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: Up to 9 hours
- Audible GPS distances by tapping earbud
- Designed for solo golf
- Wireless charging
- Recharge the earbuds up to three times per charging case charge
Pros:
- Hands-free GPS distances
- World’s first golf earbuds
- Distances to hazards with a double-tap
- Taps work with golf glove
Cons:
- Earbuds on the golf course could be dangerous
- Not ideal for round with playing partners
Rad Golf Sound+
The Rad Golf Sound+ speaker makes its debut on our list of the best Bluetooth golf speakers this year. For players looking for a golf cart speaker, this unit packs almost all the features you could want.
In addition to GPS distances on the LED display, you can get audible distances by pushing the button at the top of the speaker. I only wish that button, like on the Wingman View and Voice XL speakers was on a detachable remote, so you could get those distances on the tee box while your speaker is in the cart.
The magnet easily secures the Sound+ speaker to your cart, and is detachable, allowing you to permanently mount it if you so choose. Finally, you can pair multiple Sound+ speakers together to get even better sound.
Checking in at a more budget-friendly price than the top-end golf cart speakers, you can enjoy great sound and GPS distances all day on the course without spending top dollar.
Rad Golf Sound+ Features, Pros & Cons
- Battery Life: 12+ hours
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes

- Button for audible distances to the front, middle, and back of the green
- Dual pairing
Pros:
- Connect to other Sound+ speakers
- Magnet is detachable
- Power bank allows you to charge other devices

Cons:
- Button for audible distances is not detachable
Coming Soon: Blue Tees Player GO
Shhhh.
There’s a new speaker from Blue Tees tentatively coming in Spring of 2024, and it’s going to be an excellent option for walkers, and actually a really good speaker if you’re in a golf cart, too.
It’s called the Player GO, and it’s a little sleeker than the Player+, which makes it perfect for clipping to your bag for nine, or even an 18-hole stroll.
At roughly the size of a pint glass, it’s more robust than the go-to speakers for walkers from Bushnell and TecTecTec, and it has a strong magnet for when you’re in a cart. It also pairs with other Blue Tees speakers, so you can easily use the Player GO to enhance the sound from your Player+.
There’s no display, but the Player GO delivers audible GPS distances on the course.
Blue Tees Player GO Features, Pros & Cons
- GPS Yardages: Yes
- Magnetic: Yes
- Display: No
- Dual pairing
Pros:
- Premium sound
- Slimmed-down size compared to Player+ makes it great for walkers
- Easily clips to golf bag or push cart, and magnetically attaches to cart
Cons:
- No display
Choosing a Golf Bluetooth Speaker
Golf Bluetooth speakers must choose one of two lanes. They either prioritize premium sound with golf-specific features built in, which given their larger footprint, fall into the golf cart speaker category. Alternatively, they prioritize a compact profile for the walking golfer, and tack on some nice features from there.
Golfers who usually use a cart gravitate towards golf cart speakers that mount directly to a cart bar. These speakers have superior sound and many feature a display in addition to some pretty cool golf-specific features.
More compact speakers entice golfers to clip them to their golf bag, and may sacrifice some sound quality for a carryable size.
