Club Angle and Swing Plane
Every club you have in your bag sits at an angle, no clubs sit straight up.
- When the manufacturer designed this golf club they wanted you to swing it on a matching angle to the way it sits. Now if you decide you want to swing your golf club back steep then you better be good at looping the club under.
- If you decide you want to swing your club back to flat then you had better be good and loop it over. You are going to have to make a compensation to get that golf club traveling on that angle.
- That angle is called the swing plane.
It is how your club travels around your spine. If you have a good swing plane in your golf swing you have the best chance of centered contact and returning that clubface to a square potion at impact. That means it is going to travel down the target line and send the ball where you want it. Work on your swing plane and make sure that the club is traveling around your body on a good angle.
