I agree with Leif, this is a members course. I played it as a VA State Golf Assoc. event and was playing with another who had never played there before. It was not at all unusual to have to try to surmise where the hole went and if there were any hazards lurking unseen. Thank you iPad. And some of the elevation changes were dramatic, both uphill and down.

Don't get me wrong, it was a blast to play, was in excellent condition and other than hitting the ball in the wrong place on a few holes, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is an historic site with old rock walls worked into the course design, a historic club house and just a very comely air about it. If you get the chance, play, but with someone who's been there before.
