This is a great all around course. For the most part it's pretty open but does have water on just about every hole. There are more sand traps than I'm used to which makes for more fun and challenge but can also add to your score. The greens were super fast and the fairways were super short. There is no escaping the sun here, so being sunscreen.

i played the course on 5/12/13 river and 5/13/13 the highlands. both courses are very nicely taken care of the greens were very good shape and quick. the river course is a links style course and is a harder course due to length and water, the highlands course has some very tricky greens two and three tiered but very enjoyable to play. the course is pricey for non residents. i am an 8 handicapper

Major construction as of March 2010. There were very few yardage markers, which was frustrating, but they did have different colored flags depending on the pin location, which was helpful. Greens in great shape and very fast. The biggest negative was that, due to the reshaping of the course, the 9th hole does not end at the clubhouse - we were wanting to get food at the turn, but were over a mile from the clubhouse. No one mentioned this at the front desk. Otherwise, this is a good course.
