This course was horrible to play, but maybe 5 years ago new ownership took over. Since then they have turned this course into a beautiful and fun course to play. The entire staff is super friendly and willing to help you at anytime.
Played today after not playing there for three years. It used to be a great place to play, but fell into a bad state! Well, I'm happy to see that it's "almost" back! The fairway lays are in great shape...most of the greens are pretty patchy. I hope they keep moving this nice course back to what it used to be!
Go to any other golf course in upstate except this one. Green were bad, new guy in maitence acts like superintendent but know nothing. Golf pro fat and unfriendly...
Drove over an hour to play golf at this course and upon our arrival it looked promising. However, first impressions failed here. The staff was rude, mostly the golf professional and the amenities were none. The greens were hard and bumpy and the fairways were unkempt. I could overlook a lot of the lack of course maintenance if it weren't for the behavior of the staff. They made it seem like we were doing THEM a favor by coming there, not the other way around. It seemed like everything they did for us was done begrudgingly and will an attitude. The golf professional is not that at all.....a professional and should be replaced by someone with little more customer service based training.Overall, the trip was worth it due to the scenery but if I had my way I would not play there again until things change. For the price you pay you should have better. Sorry ROJ for the review, but maybe this will help you in the long run
What a great place. Course was in really good shape. This is a ball hitters course and is laid out very well. People friendly. The whole experience was great. You will love the scenery. Mountain views, water falls and beautiful homes. Have not seen a golf course with views you get here. Prices were great for the fun you will have. The mountains are cooler than in the Upstate now and that makes it easier on the body. Come play here, you will not be disappointed. First time played in years and will be coming back for sure
Avoid this place like the plague! Head golf pro (bald and fat)is a jerk and a poor business man! Refused to give rain checks during pouring rain. Said the course was open!! Don't waste your time with this course, or the jerks that manage it!! There are too many nice courses and people up here to waste your time and money with these idiots!
A scenic and challenging course. I thought it was in good shape overall and I had a blast playing it. If your ever in the area it's worth the visit!
