The Country Club of Newberry is the best value in the midlands. The staff is friendly, the rates are CHEAP, and the snack bar has anything you could need on the 19th at a very reasonable price. The course is challenging and rarely crowded. It is short, but the hazards were well placed and encourage accuracy. The terrain adds to the challenge of the course with dramatic elevation changes on the majority of holes. The course is maintained in good condition throughout most of the year. Drought in the late Summer can take its tole on the fairways and tee boxes but this is to be expected. Greens are moderate speed at times, and other times fast. Just like everywhere this depends on the season and timing of aeration. Enjoy a weekend at Newberry and expect a challenging course without hassle.
Great Price. For $30 I could play as much golf as I wanted. Course was in great shape for such a cheap price. Prices in the snack bar were very reasonable. I think a beer was $1.25. Will definitely come back.
