Usually well maintained greens and fairways, ruff could use some reseeding. A lot of players lack course edict and won't repair their divots or ball marks. Nice to see more new tees being built, but still would be cheaper to re-level existing tee boxes. Personnel could be more customer friendly. Caddy shack is excellent: personnel, food, and MGT try to excel at customer service. Restaurant is very crowded for that reason, Deck packed on weekends.

Agree with other golfers that the course is short and tight, but well maintained. Enjoyable round of golf. Shot a 78. Played most of the front 9 from the trees. I did not agree with the previous comment about the customer service. We were treated very well. Especially after the round in the restaurant. The food was very good and at a reasonable price.

Yes, Armitage is a nice course. But after the way I was treated when trying to a book a tee time for this weekend, I will never play there again. I know it can get busy there and move pretty slow sometimes, so I asked how far apart their tee-times were, just curious about how busy I could expect it to be. The reply I got (in a huffy voice) was "I have no idea, but I am pretty busy right now, buddy, I gotta go." Buddy? Really? The staff at Armitage need to get over themselves. There are much nicer courses in the area, especially for the cost, and I promise that all will treat you better than Armitage.

Although I have only played this course once on a Saturday, I would recommend playing it during the week. My foursome spent almost as much time waiting for the threesome in front of us as we did playing. By the fifth tee, the foursome behind us was complaining. Eventually the marshal had us moving smoothly, but a 3-hour round was almost 5! The pro shop was decent and the food was great at the clubhouse restaurant.
