This course has a very nice look, it just simply needs some work. The fairways have nice grass, but the grass is not well-kept. I played after there was a rainstorm the evening before, and there was a lot of standing water, and the greens were soaked and felt like you were walking on a sponge. Get some better drainage, add a few bunkers, upkeep the course about 1.5 times what you do now, and it should be a fine course to play. The design is quite good, just lacks upkeep and amenities.

This course is great for beginners and those wanting to walk. Its a flat easy to walk course. The owner is a friendly guy but is not able to keep the course up. It could be a great course with some up improvements.

If the owner reads this he needs to fix some of the sand trays pick about one a hole to fix up and make the others grass bunkers (cut grass about 5 inches high in them). Cut in fairways and rough (this course is cut everywhere at the same length and while its sppeds up play it really effects the feel of the course). Put some benches out there even if you have to chain them up. Give a bottle of water to everyone if you're not going to have water on the course. Fix up a couple of the rain shelters.

Lastly, with the land there you could have 18 challenging golf holes with plenty of length and using multiple tees could fit all levels of players. This course has a lot of character and could be a real gem too bad its so far out of Cleveland. With these changes and watered fairways this course could become a treasure. Put the green fees at $10/nine (weekend $8 thru the week) and $5/nine for the cart and you'll get plenty of play.
