Nice course.Storm King is a private 9 hole course with 18 tee boxes for both men and women. 18 holes plays to about 6,200 yards for men and 5,700 yards for women. This course has a reciprocal arrangement with several other local clubs and through this arrangement, my wife and I played this course on a nice comfortable Sunday afternoon. The course starts on the top of a hill in front of the clubhouse. The first hole is sharply downhill, the second has an elevated tee box, then the next 5 holes are at roughly level ground. The 8th and 9th holes climb the hill back to the clubhouse. Challenging course. My favorite hole is the 7th hole - a par 5 with your second shot over a stream that cuts through the hole. Other neat holes are the 8th, a par 3 sharply uphill to the green and #9, a par four sharply uphill back to the clubhouse. One oddity of the course is that your second shot on hole #1 crosses a road with power lines, so before you hit your second shot, you need to look up and make sure there are no cars coming. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were true (and tricky). There is a restaurant open to the public that served us an excellent dinner after our round.Checking the website, their membership deal is quite reasonable, and includes use of a cart. The deal involves a restaurant/bar minimum, but the minimum appears to be reasonable and the restaurant/bar was quite good anyway, with plenty of TVs. The course was largely empty on this beautiful NFL Sunday afternoon, so if you are in the area and want to join a club with a nice course with quick play, perhaps this one is for you. We enjoyed the round and thank the staff for accommodating us.
