I love this course. It's not zig zag like most courses. You set off in one direction for the first 9 and go another direction for the back 9. Some awesome t boxes to drive from. Elevated T boxes. Awesome photo opportunities of the Ruby Mountains!
My wife and I played this course in Aug.2011 while on vacation. I give this course mixed reviews. The course itself is pretty nice. Average course maintenance and difficulty. The scenery is beautifull. There are a few fairways that share the back yards of some residances but not terrible. I actually was having the best round of my life until I put my back out on the fifth tee box. The reason for the mixed review is cosmetic mostly. The proshop was under construction/renovation when we were there and fairly messy. The restaurant/bar had good food and friendly service. The drive to get to the course is interesting. You have to drive through some rough looking streets, trailer homes, empty lots, and a town that looks depressed financialy. If you can get over the cosmetic appearances It's an enjoyable course to play and the Ruby hills are beautifull.
