Nostalgia was my reason for playing the course in 2008, but after walking up to the first tee box, I knew I was in love with The Lodge and would forever make time to drive from Texas to play this amazing course. The scenery is beyond beautiful and breathtaking. So take a few minutes to look around and appreciate the surroundings.Hopefully you will have an opportunity to meet F. Preston the starter. Wonderful guy! One comment I must make. Don't linger at the tee box on #6. You could get beaned by an over zealous golfer from #5. I was waiting for my partner to make her tee shot when a golf ball pinged the tree above my head. I was quite shaken.The Lodge in New Mexico, inspired my quest to play all 50 states.
