@thegolfkid - Twisted Dune and Green Tree are Two completely different types of courses. Green Tree is modest, affordable, and fun. For 30 dollars a head with a cart you can't beat the price. Twisted Dune costs over 90 dollars to play. TD is a links course, much larger, and sandier. The people at TD are nice but the golfers that come to play there are judgmental, prejudice against younger players...argh! Simply put, you can't compare. I love green tree, it gives poor people like me a chance to play a great sport. @Happel - I agree about SOME staff members there not appreciating their jobs but the old man ranger is one hell of a guy who's given me plenty of pointers and encouragement when I'm struggling. The girls there are very cool, polite and professional.Long story short, this course is great for the money and it's very comfortable and relaxing, challenging too for beginners and average players. Hole 3 is a par 6 and is challenging too! Don't pass this one up, especially if your golfing with beginners or seniors.
Bad course, and the conditions are pretty bad. I am a member at Twisted Dunes GC about 10 min. away. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I at least expected nice pace of play... My tee time was at 8;40 as a twosome, but there were 14 people waiting to tee off and didnt start my round til 9;30!!!! No ranger in sight and staff didnt care. I paid $33 and would NOT go there again!!!
Don't bother. The staff, with exception of the young girl at the snack bar, could care less that you are keeping them employed. The course is in terrible condition. They do not have a starter to maintain slow play. Once my friend use the ball washer and they had bleach in it and it ruined his brand new $50 Ralph Lauren; the didn't care or apologize. There are better courses in the area that are operated with a greater sense of pride.
