This course is completely overrated and overpriced. First the conditions:Greens were bumpy and slow with dirt patches on many greens.Bunkers weren't raked and were in bad condition.Fairways were ok for the summer time but not great. The Design: Almost all the par 4's are doglegs to the right with a bunker sitting on the corner of the dogleg. Its the same boring layout over and over. The par 3's and 5's were good but it general there are many many other courses better than this. Including Charleston Springs. The pace of play:We teed off at 2:20 on a Tuesday. 2 hours on the front. 2 hours 35 minutes on the back. There were only 2 foursomes in front of us and of course we didn't see a ranger all day. Groups behind us walked off the course at around the 14th hole. The Price:$52 to walk for out of county plus $6 for the tee time. This isn't worth more than $35. Summary:I simply wouldn't play here again. Its completely overrated and overpriced as stated above.
Not sure what all the hype is about for this course. Definitely not one of the top in the state. It's not even top in it's town. Colts Neck golf course is much better. This course has a lot of doglegs but other than that, nothing outstanding. Just an average municipal golf course. And the bunkers are terrible.
