I played the course for the first time on 6/17/12, it was in great shape. Course knowledge would have greatly helped my score but I thoroughly enjoyed the course. However I was very unhappy with the pace of play and general inability of the rangers to be able to recognize the problem and have a clue as to what to do to remedy it. I was told as I approached the par three 8th that it always backs up here, we were the 4th foursome on the hole, this tells me that there is an issue with the tee time spacing. When asked the ranger said play later in the day, really?
The round took a threesome, following a threesome 5 hours and 45 minutes to play. We saw a group with a walker, a twosome in a cart, a single in a cart and a kid of about 10 running around. At about the same time a woman drove back looking for a club 3 times, driving over a ball in our group once. Why is this allowed to happen? I may play this course again because it was a nice layout in good shape but if it plays the same pace I will never return.

Played this course June 26th. This course was in pretty good shape. No quams about the condition. Good greens. The practice areas are fantastic. Good putting green and awesome chipping area w/ 2 bunkers and a good patch of fairway. The coures however has WAY too many doglegs ! I'll have to disagree w/ previous review that says the course is easy. If you try and play the doglegs and work the ball you could get into trouble real easily. There are some real nice holes but at the same time a lot of short holes that ruin it. Not a total loss but at the same time probably wont come back since i live an hour away. At least they had water to drink everywhere on the course. I walked the course which is very walkable but at the same time the had no carts to give me when i paid if i had wanted a cart.

Overlook is a solid track. I play it about 3 times per year. The course is easy even from the back tees and the back nine has about 7 doglegs in a row. The 8th hole, the "Overlook" hole is awesome and we usually hit 2 balls a piece with a little CTP betting. Overall I like the course, its a fun and relaxing day, you only need to hit driver a few times and there isn't alot of stress, easy to score with 3W to wedge for half the holes.
