My first time at this course. My wife and I played it today. I got a "smoking deal" by booking a tee time via their web site..and I would recommend doing this. Oh..by he way...this is a course owned and run by a religious organization and they do not open till Noon on Sunday. The carts were brand new and VERY nice! The starter was GREAT and managed to get us out ahead of a very large group that was gathering at the 1st tee. The course was fairly well maintained. We need a little rain here in Western NC..so the tee boxes were just a touch sparse. They water the greens and some fairways...so they weren't too bad. There are a LOT of blind shots on this course and I would encourage anyone to go look at the hole before you tee it up. There are a few surprises. This is a short course...so a lot of times you do NOT need a driver off the tee. The greens weren't speedy...but they ran true. I dropped a couple of 15 to 20 footers. The holes are a little too close together for my taste....and sometimes it was confusing as to where the next tee box is. There were a few fairways that were tight...and an errant tee shot is gone! The "funkiest" hole on the course is #14. Its a short uphill par 4 with electrical lines IN THE FAIRWAY. GO look at the hole...you will be glad you did!! Hit to the left of the electical lines...and you'll be fine. Wish I had!! All in all it was a fun course to play...my wife give is kudoa for having bathrooms out on the course and benches at the tee boxes. I'd go back again!
