Course in excellent condition except for greens which have a fungus. Need too keep the ball in the narrow fairways as rough and woods make it difficult to find them !

Greens were a bit bare but they rolled well. Course winds through woods with lots of out of bounds and water hazards. Fairways are generally generous with plenty of sand traps.

Very enjoyable course.

Clubhouse and food very good and reasonable. People were very nice.

I was there with a large group and played the course 5 times over a 5 day period. We all enjoyed it very much.

First, the star ratings on this site are not working right... I gave it 4 to 5 stars in every category, but it comes up as 3 stars. Hey GolfLink, you have a bug. Course is very pretty, tight, demanding course with plenty of water, sand, forced carries. It will test all aspects of your game. Staff is friendly yet professional, excellent practice facility, and not particularly expensive. What is not to love? Tees and fairways in good shape, greens were still coming back from being punched and fertilized, but were already true and fair.

The course was in excellent condition. It's a challenge in that the fairways are fairly narrow and straight driving is at a premium. All around course condition was exceptional and this is a test from either the Black (6402,yards) or Gold Tees (6947,yards).

Pro shop personnel and the staff that greeter us was friendly and courteous. Like all St. James courses, range balls are free and the practice facilities very nice.A yardage book with an pictorial description of the hole would be helpful but as usual, GPS saved the day.

Greens were not as fast as we were led to believe but they were true and in most cases, were in excellent condition. A few "dry spots" left over from the winter made them an 8 out of 10.

A little pricey from off the street but a challenge and a beautiful course to play. Well worth the money !
