Played on Dec 22 and the greens and bunkers were in good shape. The fairways were brown but cut to a good length. The rough lived up to its name. The weather was good for Dec, about 53 degrees and sunny but the winds were tough to play in at about 35 mph gusts. This is a long and sometimes narrow course and the views along the sound and marches is beautiful.

Excellent course. Staff is great. Very accommodating and helpful. Greens in good shape and ran fairly fast. Restaurant/ clubhouse excellent in food and service. For a beach community vacation destination you couldn’t ask for much better.

I played this course in 1996 right after it opened, I was a really bad golfer then, I think I shot a 120+ for 18 holes. but being in the Outer Banks the scenery was off the charts. It was a nice place, but expensive being in a tourist area.

Really nice course. Played the Currituck Club on a breezy and seasonably mild December morning. Course was in excellent shape.

The course is located in a development. It has 4 sets of tees ranging from 4,700 yards to 6,900 yards in length. There are many scenic holes here - my favorite stretch were holes 7 through 9 which were close to the Currituck Sound and largely away from houses. Honorable mention to holes 15 through 18 which were also on the Sound.

This course is pricey - although the winter rates are their cheapest. We paid $65 for a round with cart. If you are looking for cheaper golf, try Nags Head or the Carolina Club, both $45 per round with cart this time of year. But play this course at least once -- it is a gem.

Restaurant was more than just your typical golf course food. Lunch was excellent and the staff was friendly.

Recommended play if you are in the area and you have some cash to burn.

Course had just been aerated 1 week before we played. The staff was very upfront about conditions and the course ran a special for $80. This course charges $140 prime time. I'd say it isn't a $140 course but what really is. Great scenery, helpful staff and good conditions make this course a must play when staying in the OBX!
