Excellent layout not one hole on this course I don't love

Greens usually run about 9 on stimp meter which is slow but it is a public course . Don't expect to drain putts. Suggest walking if you play fast because in a cart you will be waiting to hit shots

LOVE this place

Logger Trail is a fine layout for a golfer who is a 15 hdp or below. The conditions are bent grass and well mowed and kept up well. The holes can be tight and tree lined or very wide open with high grass and Large mounding hills. Greens are well trapped and large. Holes are mixed and varied. If you are a high handicapper this course will be difficult. Fun to play. Good difficulty and a better challenge. No country club atmosphere here. A good round of golf at a great price. A lot like golf in England. This is a well above overage course with great maintenance. Very basic trailer club house with outside flush toilets. More of a snack trailer home feel at the club house. I love the course and I don't worry much about the "amenities" of the club house. Go and play Logger's, it is worth it. 7chp. average 80.

Pulling into the parking lot at Loggers Trail Golf Club one is reminded of pulling into a way-side saloon somewhere in the state of rural Wyoming. Lots of pick-up trucks, the smell of cows, do not tresspass signs etc. Once on the course, it becomes apparent that little consideration was given to the average once-per-week golfer. Hitting a ball into the fescue grasses is a loss of a golf ball in most cases. Golfers in blue jeans and a beer can in their hand earnestly search for their balls so a round of golf at Logger's is often a very long march. The 11th hole is interesting. Electric fences line the left side of the rough and fairway. Logger's hosted a Minnesota Golf Association event this summer and those with whom I visited stated they were just happy to be finished with their round of golf. The course is very well maintained and whoever the course superintendent is does an amazing job!
