Awful experience, very slow pace of play and incredibly rude staff make this course unplayable.
Best public course in Oakland County and probably Metro Detroit. Slow golfers beware this course moves along as it should. Tee times are fairly spaced and course is always in great shape. If you beat this course, you have beaten the best.
This course has really gone down hill with there Management of the course. It is really sad because it is a nice course. Plan on a 6 hour round Thursday - Sunday. Tee times are stacked 8 minutes apart and you start on a short par 4 , par 3, par 5 which will take you at least 1 hour to play. After that it picks up a little bit. No offense to women but the women in charge there has no clue what she is doing. Make sure you bring your own alchol on the course to enjoy your round because you will be waiting on almost every shot. Dispointed Golfer :(
We went to this golf course over the weekend. Started the course and it looked pretty good, till we ended up waiting and waiting and more waiting after each hole. It's a decent course, but there is no ranger for the terrible golfers there. We ended up leaving after nine holes and complained to the club house that it took us 3.5 hours to complete the nine holes. They didn't care and said that it started getting full?? In the end, they gave us only $13 credit each. We decided to go back the next day and tried to finish the rest of the course because we didn't want to waste the credit. There happened to be an old lady that seemed to have an attitude for no reason - saying that we are lucky to be golfing at this time of the year at Pine Trace. I told her we had a terrible time the day before and she said they didn't bother getting a ranger out the day before because they didn't want to pay for one! We told her that we wanted to finish out the course and continued out the door. We hit the ball off the 10th tee and she comes out screaming like an old hag and saying that she told us to start at the first hole! We didn't have a problem with replaying the front nine again, but she didn't have to be so rude...literally screaming at us. I gave her a few words in private later and I will be calling her manager later this week. The service is terrible and they really don't need an old ugly hag working in the clubhouse... Seriously, we go golfing to get away from crazy women, and yet they have one in the clubhouse. Don't go here unless you want to waste time and get terrible service.**not sure what is up with the apostrophes on this site.
