Had a great time at this hidden gem of a course. Was only 20 bucks to walk 18 on Sunday but with it being late season rates it probably would've been closer to 30 at peak season. Still I believe peak season weekend with a cart is no more than $40. For it being October when I played, the greens were LIGHTNING fast! No wonder the Lapeer Lightning play here. Good teams play at good courses and Lapeer CC is no exception. Let us walk it w/pull cart even though it was a weekend. Back 9 is tough to walk but the front is no problem. Enjoyed the drastically different lengths of par threes, from just over 100 on 4 to a mammoth 230 on 11! (Straight into the wind as well!). Not a huge fan of not having an opportunity to hit driver until the fifth hole but hey this is golf. It's not meant to be easy. Tee boxes had the divot mix next to them on par threes. Always good to see that. Ball washers were filled and had good towels. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the yardage signs at each tee box. They are not detailed enough in my opinion. A few raggety tee boxes and bunker lips (bunker sand was still good) but hey this isn't a private course so whatever. Staff is real nice as well. Definitely give LCC a try!
