While on vacation at York Beach, I played The Ledges, The Outlook, Cape Neddick and Old Marsh. I play to a 4 and I walk. The Outlook is a very nice layout for the most part unfortunately they were forced onto some quirkier ground on the back nine. The good holes outweigh the bad holes and the finishing hole is excellent. The course is in very nice condition, the people friendly and the greens were in better shape than I expected. My one real complaint is specific to being a walker – there are almost zero yardage markers. Instead they rely on using the GPS in the cart. This is fine for the most part but annoying. One word of warning – lots of heather and a bit of water – if you don’t hit it straight (or your playing partners don’t) you’ll spend a lot of time looking for balls. Because of a few of the holes on the back nine, The Outlook ranks #3 of the four courses I played.

Wow.. What a great course.. Difficult. Should of probably played from whites...Back nine really sneaks up on you....Course in great shape.. Greens fast and true. Can not wait to play aagin..

Front and back nine are two completely different courses. Beautiful front nine. Back nine has loads of blind shots. Overall a nice course. Gets lots of play but is in good shape. Links style. Not for the novice.
