This course is a great deal for the money, maybe the best deal in all of Hampton Roads The holes are challenging and diverse. There are hills, water and tall rough to navigate around. The novice golfer will likely loose a lot of balls. The overall condition of the course has improved greatly during 2011. The prohibition of carts driving out on the 9th and 18th holes has really made these holes very nice. The worst thing about this course are the loud jets which fly overhead often during the weekdays. Bring ear plugs if playing on a weekday.

This is a great value course. The weekend rate with a cart is $25, and when played from the tips it's not too easy. Unfortunately it's under-funded and the condition of the course is pretty poor most of the time. The clubhouse is extremely small and really doesn't add to the value of the course at all. Overall, great course to learn on, inexpensive, and there are plenty of tee times available daily.
