Monday, 9 April 2012. I was disappointed at how many weeds and onion sets were growing through the fairway grass. I would not play this course again.
Best municipal course in the state of Kentucky? No. Not even close in my opinion after playing there yesterday. Rates are reasonable at $35.00 with a cart on the weekends. The course has a decent layout and I liked the greens s they all had some slope and character to them, very few flat puts. The greens suffered as most did this year due to a lack of rain but were certainly playable. There is no rough on the course. Just dead grass and hardpan dirt. I think Charlie Vettiner is Louisville is a better course and Lassing Pointe in Union, Ky. is a much better course. Decent enough track I'm sure when the rough is in and there aren't so many dead areas around the greens and fairways but don't look for a wow factor, it's not there.
