This course USED to be THE COURSE to play. It may have been a 5-star course when it was built, but now it is a mess. DO NOT be fooled by this rating. The only props I will give will be for the staff and clubhouse are nice but course conditions are terrible. The cart paths and wooden bridges are in disrepair. The range is one of the better ranges in the area. The putting green is useful. Overall, this course has lost its luster and reputation. I heard a rumor that it was recently sold. I hope that this is true so that this course can be great again. I will not be returning until it is drastically improved. My recommendation for now is to lower your rates because my friends and I refuse to play golf at a course that displays these types of conditions.

This course is relying on its reputation. It may have been a 5-star course when it was built but it no longer lives up to such a rating. The staff and clubhouse are nice but course conditions were terrible. I understand there has been a lot of rain in the area lately but if you are a prestigious course you should not still have water in bunkers one week after the rains have stopped. The cart paths and wooden bridges are in disrepair. If you wish to continue to charge fees that are in the higher range of local courses then you should maintain your facility to the same level; and you are not doing so. Either drop your rates or improve course conditions. Bottom line: The Course at Aberdeen has lost its luster. I don't plan on returnng.

I'd give it 6 stars for value if I could. Great practice facilities, a fun layout, and well maintained for the most part. The greens were in good shape and could be even better if more players took time to repair their ballmarks. The course is very fair, you can go low, I just hacked my way around the course. I still enjoyed it thoroughly and felt like I was robbing them considering the greens fees.

Love this course! Helps to play with someone with local knowledge when you're here the first time. Getting too aggressive off the tee can burn you! Only gave 'Maintenance' 2 stars because there were a couple of sprinklers left on that were clearly running for too long; large pools of water in the fairways.

The best Deal within 3 hours of chicago. The most gorgeous greens I have played in the midwest. The course is well kept. The only downside was the tee boxes on half the holes were dead (hardly mattered and temporary). We were warned ahead of time. Every other aspect of the course was impecable. Every Hole is secluded from the last. Worth the drive!!
