I'm a non-local up here working. That said, I've had the oppurtunity to play all over the gulf coast and the Appalachin Mountian region. This is by far one of the nicest courses I've played and I've played many that cost double the price of Sandy Pines.

To me, you will find no better course in NWI or Chicagoland as far as I'm concerend. The maintenance is second to none. The layout and scenery is superb. If there was one negative, unless you live in Demotte, it's a haul from pretty much anywhere, even Merrillville. The drive is a double edged sword in that because it's such a drive, it doesn't get too crowded. The Pro Shop is killer too! We've done some damage in there...

Brad should be extremly proud of himself and his crews. This is in my top 3 public courses of all time and it might even be my #1.

I played the Warren Course at Notre Dame becuase in 2008 or 2009, it was ranked the #1 public course in Indiana by Golfers Digest. While it was nice, it was a waste of time and $$$ compared to Sandy Pines.

If there's one thing and one thing only I'll miss when moving out of this region, it'll be Sandy Pines golf. I wish I could tranplant this course and the staff; take them home with me to be my home course and staff.

Cheers Brad and Team!!!

Course was in fantastic shape, maintenance does a wonderful job. Some holes are a little to gimicky for me, but a very enjoyable course otherwise. It is well off the beaten track, but a great value makes it worth your while.

A solid course tucked away and a nice clubhouse. Nifty golf carts. No driving range, so practice beforehand!

A hidden gem.(But don't tell anyone.) Mondays are $30. Wonderful staff. Outstanding bunkering. Well manicured. I lost count on the number of fountains in the lakes. Streams w/waterfalls.It's got it all. Easy on the yes. After our first round, all we talked about was how anxious we were to play our second round there.Best golf carts around. A keeper!
