This course was built in the early 1900’s and is managed by a PGA-certified professional. It’s a short 18-hole course at just 5,895 yards. The course is mostly made up of Par 4 holes ranging from 260-410 yards. The longest hole on the course is #2 (par 5, 575 yards.) There are two tee boxes on the course. Take note that this course was recently renamed “The Edge.” The round of golf is just as enjoyable as sitting in the clubhouse on the patio after your round. Make sure to set aside enough time to enjoy the full experience here. The clubhouse has a full menu and bar, including a selection of craft beers. Edgewood featured a number of downhill lies and valleys between two hills. There are some very narrow tree lined fairways. It’s a classic golf course design from the era - including long, straight fairways and sparse trees separating the fairways. The uphill and downhill lies will challenge beginner and experienced golfers alike. The course backs onto a farmer’s field. The course is challenging, but it becomes easier as you play through your round. The fairways and greens are well-kept. The staff in the clubhouse and pro shop are all friendly and welcoming. The Edge also offers full event services like weddings. This is a course and venue at the top of it’s game. Visiting here is a wonderful experience that makes you forget that you’re at a public golf course. Top notch!
It warms an old man's heart to see a golf course this fantastic. A young man named Kyle was working the day arrived, and never in my 90 years on this Earth have I met such a sweet teenager. He's nothing like the rebellious kids on that youtube show. You see, Kyle is more than a man. He's a friend. He keeps the entire course clean all on his own(or something like that). It's fair to say that I wish Kyle was my own child(and he may be). This course is difficult, but in a good way. Beginners will struggle, but it will be a thrilling learning experience for them. Experts, like myself, will struggle at first, but soon crack the beautiful puzzle, because that's what we do. I could go on for years about how good this course is, but I need to stop here. It makes me depressed to realize that I'm not at the course anymore. I MUST GO BACK!!!
