Always liked the course...in great shape. However, we're not going to take a chance again for some time. The starter gave us the required reminders including the usual "4 1/2 hour" round. Today it took us 5 hours and 15 minutes. The front nine was 2 hours and 10 minutes. I called the pro shop on the 10th to suggest there was a back up. No relief. A three hour and 5 minute back nine. I reported this to the pro shop worker who said, "Oh, well, we're busy." All the guy had to say was, "We apologize." But nothing. If you really have to play the course, try another day besides the obvious Geezer Tuesday which includes the walking wounded who apparently can't make it through 18 holes under 5 hours.

Great southside course. Greens are usually pretty quick though not a ton of break. On most days, they play around 10. Most fairways have generous landing areas and the greens are fairly reachable. Tee boxes tend to get really beaten up, but the rest of the course from tee to green is terrific. You basically use every club in the bag on the course, so it's pretty great from that standpoint. Starting hole requires a high draw whereas, the finishing hole requires a fade so if you have those shots, it's a lot of fun. Great great bargains can be found on GolfNow. I've won at least 6 free rounds since playing there this summer, though I'm not sure if they will continue that this year (2012). Great course!

Nice course! Played it as part of a scramble outing. The range and practice green are nice. The staff was AWESOME! Very helpful and knowledgeable! The course seems like it is the middle of the city, but once you get out there it has the feel of an out-of-the-way course in the middle of the forest. Tough course, but fair. Accuracy will definitely be rewarded! Will look forward to returning to re-play this course!

Tough golf course if your not very accurate off the tee. There is a lot of water in play and fairways are narrow. Course was in good condition with some beat up spots in the fairways. Greens are in good shape but ball mark repair could be much better. Greens rolled well. Very easy to get to from Chicago. Fun course that I will return to.

staff was unbeleivably nice..came out and gave me a ride to the practice facility..course could be nice but i think they had some flood damage cuz the fairways were bare in alot of spots and cart rules at this time were only cart paths only which caused a slow pace
