Ok, the course is an old course from the twenties and most likely has massive traffic due to location and being a Forest Preserve course, but what a deal. We went there for a Monday 11:00 tee time and got 18 holes with cart, with hot dog lunch (beverage, and chips or candy) for $23.00 bucks. $23.00 bucks, think about it, that's like a buck a hole with cart....., and a $5.00 lunch. The course is somewhat challenging and greens were in ok shape (no large brown spots or anything like that) except some of the tee boxes were pretty hacked up. One can always get past that. Overall, for the price, you can't beat the value. Oh, by the way, all the staff were very friendly and accomidating.
STAY AWAY FROM CHICK EVANS GOLF COURSE!!!!! (Especially the food) Golfed 18 this past saturday with 3 friends. Course was in OK shape, however 2 of us ate the polish sausage at the turn and we did not keep it down for longer than a few hours. I was sick 3 times and my buddy was sick twice from the polish sausage. On a semi-positive/slap in the face kind of way, they offered us a FREE CART for our next round. Chick Evans ruined 2 peoples days off and offered a free cart. NEVER AGAIN CHICK EVANS!!!!
I'm glad I was convinced to try chick evans again. From the club house to the course everything looked great.the course looks so much better then last time I played here over a year ago. The greens were perfect and were even quick after the big storm the night before. Everyone in the clubhouse was friendly and pleasent. Definatly not a wasted dollar this time. Good job to those guys.
