Played Big Run on 9/25/2011 as part of a threesome. Walked 18 for $50. We teed off somewhere around 10:30, walking back to the parking lot after the 18th hole it was 4pm; very long round. The maintenance here is lacking big time. Every green on the back 9 was in terrible shape...missing grass, extremely bumpy conditions (the greens had been aerated recently- we were not notified while booking the tee time) I understand that aeration has to be done, but missing grass on the greens? C'mon. I know we had an extreme summer this year, but I've played other courses close by Big Run who do not have scalped greens. It's a great layout with some very challenging holes, but unless the maintenance is stepped up, this course will be remembered for it's porous conditions rather than the layout/scenery.

Long and Difficult! Course is spotty on the maintenance but the greens are good. Some Monster holes! Has the potential to be one of the best courses in the country with the right TLC! This is a tip for the owners of Big Run. The course could be a masterpiece! No driving Range to warmup will probably keep me from coming back.

Paid $60 to play a 5 1/2 hour round on Friday. Got paired up with another 2some because apparently $60 is not enough to spread the tee times out better, yet there was a 2some in front of us, a 2some in front of them, and a 2some behind us! Guy in proshop said conditions were great, they were terrible. Hotdogs and brats at the turn had those rubber casings, sick. This is a $40 course at most. Cool scenery, that's about it. Just because it's near Cog Hill doesn't mean it is Cog Hill.

This one is for the big hitters. There are 2 holes almost 600 yards uphill. They also have the hardest golf hole that i ever played(9). The staff could be better but not bad. If you like golf, you will love Big Run......
