Course was immaculate. Beautiful layout, greens were in excellent shape, and the staff very friendly.

The past couple of years were a bit rough, but I've been playing this course on/off for the last 5-6 years.

About 3-4 years ago, the course started to decline in upkeep. I'm not sure if they hired new staff/green-keepers, but the course is very much above average for quality - now!

The greens are absolutely amazing - very fast right now, but divot marks are at a minimum, and dead patches are almost non-existent. (They even put sand on the greens - I think to slow them down a bit during the heat - don't worry, didn't affect the play)

The greens bite when you have nice pitch shots - and are very close to the practice green - which will help you get acclimated to the speed of the greens on the course.

***2 years ago*** - the course would have been great at the tee-boxes and the fairways, but bunkers, were in really rough shape and greens were less than desired.

**NOW** - The tee boxes are pristine - Fairways are amazing, bunkers are better than any course I've ever played (no mud, hard packed stuff - semi-fluffy bunker consistency - You can enter a bunker, and that bunker is consistent across all 18 holes)

Greens can be fast, but are very consistent from hole-to-hole. Easy to get a judge on speed.

2 years ago, I would have suggested this course was good as long as you could keep it in the fairway, and close to the pin.

NOW, this course poses great challenges that you can't BLAME the course for bad conditions. It will test your skills, but offer the most fun play in the acworth/kennesaw area.

This course is in much better condition now that I believe it ever has. The renovation on the greens is fantastic. They roll true and smooth. It's a difficult course if you aren't hitting it straight but fair. It's a little overpriced for a municipal course but it gets a lot of play.

Played St Patrick's Day. Course was a little wet, so cart path only, UGH! Would love to play it again later, as greens were still recovering from aeration. Only complaint is marshals: our group waited literally on almost every shot, but were told that we were "ten minutes behind". Really? Behind what?

I just found Cobblestone golf course this year after the course renovations so I cannot speak to the prior condititons. The current conditions are excellent. They just replace their bent greens with all new Champions Bermuda and they are great, smooth, roll true (Becareful, play less break than you read). The bunkers have been completely renovated and proper drainage was install along with very nice white sand. I suggest if you have not played out there in a while you get back out and give it a try. They renovations are complete and the course has been open for play for about 4 weeks now and it is a gem. There are terrific holes right on lake acworth and the layout is second to none this side of Augusta ;)

I have only played Cobblestone 3 times but I decided to purchase the cobblestone card and I will be making this my home course. With out the cobblestone card it can be a bit pricy on the weekends $73 w/cart. I purchased the cobblestone card and that lowers the rate $20.

The course conditions blew me away after some of the reports I have heard. I swear you will not be dissapointed, not too often you get layouts and conditions this nice at public courses owned by the town. A++

I have played a lot of courses in Atlanta over the last 10 years, and I have never, ever played a course in as bad of condition as Cobblestone is now. Affiniti should be ashamed of themselved for charging full price to play this goat track of a course. It is a bit sad as I remember playing this 8-9 years ago and it was a fantastic course, and very well maintained. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!! It is awful, think of a course in as bad of condition as you can, then multiply that by 10, that is the condition of this course.
