You won't find elevation change like this on many courses in the area ... Awesome views on the back nine. A few of the holes are blind from the tee, which makes for an interesting & fun round.
Built on a landfill this is the most exciting public golf course I have played in FLorida. lots of elevation. some tough, tough holes. Well kept for a Palm Beach County course. once in a while especially when its how you can (smell) your on a landfill but by far my favorite for the price. A low handicapper can score well a mid to high can have a real tough time!
Unusual and best public course in South Florida
What a neat track. Well maintained and good service. 100% recommend you try it. Played last week and the course was in the best shape I've ever seen it. Enjoy!
Wow! This track is great. The fairways and greens are outstanding for a public course. Wait til you play the back 9--Holes 11 & 12 are so cool with major elevation changes. Am I in Florida. Played their Wednesday 9 Hole scramble--some real good players and great skin money to be had. Be back soon.
This track just seems to get better and better each time I play it! The greens are looking great! We always have -4 hour round here and the staff make it a pleasure to visit. Keep up the great work PBC!!
Great value in palm beach county. Your not going to get a much better course for the price. Elevation changes and course condition make park ridge very enjoyable for any type of golfer. The 2012 honda classic pre-qualifier thought so as well!!
Major disappointment, the staff is to old to assist you. The staff are not friendly, and the manager lady was rude as well. Though the scenery is beautiful and elevations are a nice change in florida course condition is less than desirable, and over priced for a county owned park.
while I fully agree about the drainage issues, the course when dry is truly unique in Florida and alot of fun to play...not crammed in by houses, and with changing elevation, it feels as if u are not in Fla...the course has been in great shape the past yr, yet it remains largely unplayable after alot of rain...im not sure if they will ever be able to fix that due to the fact that it was built on a plastic sheet (over a landfill)...no place for the water to go....but the layout is great and not boring at all...
Warning: do not play this course if there has been any rain recently - the drainage is terrible. I played the day after thay had a thunderstorm, and it was almost impossible to find a place on the fairways without standing water. The course should have been closed, yet they charged full price to play (not to mention $0.50 for a styrofoam cup for water!). Go play Okeeheelee - it's a much better course and much better run.
Although the occasional smell of garbage may turn some off from this course that was built on top of an old landfill, this should be a must play for any golfer. The course is not very difficult, but includes several great elevation changes and gives players a chance at many different length holes with layout including 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's.
