This is a decent course. I played the blues which measures just under 6200, and it was a bit short for what I enjoy playing. There is a gold set at over 6600. The greens ran nice. The fairways were in good shape - albeit some brown out there in August but that is to be expected. The price was good $60 mid-week with a cart. I also enjoyed the overall layout of the course. It may be because I played what I deem to be a short course, I don't think it is terribly difficult. I would definately play here again.

We heard that the new owners have upgraded the facility because it was known as rundown. We were NOT disappointed. Me and two friends that have golfed together all around southern california were IMPRESSED at the layout and difficulty of the course. Having a book to KNOW where the doglegs go is "CRITICAL" on this links course. From the very first dog leg left, it is about club control. The 2nd hole disappears around a mountain and keeping your ball in the fairway is challenging on this and MANY holes. Well, maybe it's just me it's challenging for, since i usually shoot like 87-95... Anyways, the course was in GREAT shape in our experience. The rough could have been thicker to be or a bigger challenge in some places but this course was EXTREMELY fun, challenging and well kept. The greens were fast and true. Not much break on the greens. The bunkers were great, softer sand on top and the traps i used, no HARD pans that make life miserable in the trap. I am surprised that for $38 with cart that we could get a course that is as tight and challenging as this. Ted Robinson did his original design well. For 6600 yards, this course feels much longer with all of the up and down hills. uneven lies. FUn, Fun, Fun... jus sharing. I will be back!!!
