Course was fun, gorgeous day. Must be a hidden gem not very busy so there was No rush which is nice as a beginning player. Unfortunately, the only thing not pleasant was the employee at the window. Arrived at 11:12 (2 min after 11:10 tee time) we stood at the outside window for almost 6 min before we were even acknowledged, let alone greeted. I proceeded To ask if we could check in and also purchase a handful of cheap golf balls- she painstakingly handed us 10 individual golf balls one at a time... by the time she finished ringing us up it was almost 12:20. After the transaction, she quickly vanished.... we called her back to ask again if we could please check in for our tee time. I have her my name and original time, She was very quick to respond “well since you’re so late for your check in, you lost your place,” I asked if we could just skip the first hole as it was not an issue for us.....she denied and said, “no it’s so busy back to back appointments off up still even want to play I’m going to have to move you to 11:50” ??
This is the best 9-hole course I have ever played. I took lessons from one of the pros there, who was on the circuit. He tought me most of what I know. It is a great place to learn or keep up the swing when you don not have time for 18 holes. The logo on the hat I bought there has a picture of a mountain goat because of the hilly terrain. Nested amongst the foothills of Redwood City, there are lots of ups and downs and meandering that make the course interesting. I played there often when we lived in San Carlos. Relaxed people make the place comfortable for everyone. Very well maintained place with driving range, putting and chipping areas.
