Love this course. Back nine is gorgeous! I do believe that it is too $$$. Luckily there is golflink.com
We played Oakcreek after 1:00 pm to get the Twilight rate of $75.00, as a guest. I was told that rate included range balls, which it did; however, we found out that it was barely a half bucket of balls each. We had to pay for any additional balls we wanted. The driving range was in average condition, not exceptional but not quite a Tin Cup quality either. I found the course to be in good shape for the first week of October but nothing exceptional. The greens were nice but the Head Pro had described them as "exceptional". They weren't. There were numerous ball marks on many of the greens. The speed was good to fast and generally they rolled true. The scenery is really the memorable part of playing Oakcreek and it was a highlight. The downside was that the restaurant was closed for renovation and there was NO food available on the course, even on the beverage cart. It would have been nice if we had been told this when we made the tee time so that we could have made arrangements for a sandwich or snack. All in all, the scenery is fantastic and the course is nice. Given the fact that there is no food available, the greens were average for the area and the rate was $75.00/player, I don't feel it was a good value. One can do better in this area.
