I would give the course a higher number of stars, however the it is a short in distance. With that said the course is an outstanding course with tight fairways, and smaller greens. Aim small hit small. I really like the course not just because it is where I learned to play but it is challenging. I took a buddy of mine that claimed to be a really good golfer, he did not like the course "It's too difficult." The beauty in this course are the folks that run it. No the club house isn't fancy with chandeliers and matradies but you will not meet a friendlier group of folks.
A nice short course with narrow fairways surrounded on both sides by thick forest. This course is great for honing your accuracy. Not much room for errant slices or hooks, unless you like walking in the woods searching for your wayward ball. I am a high handicapper and I will usually lose at least 6 or 7 balls during course of play. I like to take my time and it usually takes me 3-3 1/2 hours to play depending on how crowded the course is. The owners are great and add a nice mom and pop southern atmosphere.
