Five Ways to Wear Your Air Force 1s

One thing that makes Air Force 1s so popular is their versatility. Not only are there so many different colors and styles, but there are plenty of ways to wear them as well. Here are five ways to lace your Air Force 1s.

    Loose

Wear your Nike Air Force 1s very loose with the laces untied and knotted at the end, so they’re not dragging the ground, but also not tucked into the shoes. Leave the velcro straps on the shoes undone and hanging loosely on the shoe.

    Nelly Style

To wear your Air Force 1s Nelly Style, lace them using a loose criss-cross pattern. Start by putting the left end of the shoelace through the bottom left eyelet and the right end of the shoelace through the bottom right eyelet, coming in from underneath.

Alternate left and right as you make your way up the shoe, always lacing from beneath the eyelets. When you get to the top eyelet, tuck the laces under the tongue of the shoe and tie the two ends together in a double knot. Carefully loosen the crisscrossed parts. Be careful not to trip.

    Kanye West Style

Lace your shoes like Kanye West by using the bar method. Start by putting the left end of the shoelace through the bottom left eyelet and the right end of the shoelace through the bottom right eyelet, coming in from above the eyelets.

Pull the right end up through the eyelet directly above it on the right side. Then pull it straight across to the left, entering this eyelet from above. Use the next set of parallel eyelets for the left end of the shoelace. Continue in this alternating fashion until you have the shoe laced up. Tie each end in an overhand knot to keep it in place, and tuck the ends into the shoe.

    Hem Style

Loosely tuck the bottom hem of your pant leg into the top of your shoes. Do not let your pants cover the shoes.

    Different Socks Style

Wear them with low-cut short socks, not mids, calfs, or high-top socks. The low-cut socks emerge just over the ankle and are just visible over the top of the shoe.

    Just Do It

Those looking to buy some Air Force 1s should, like Nike's slogan says, “Just Do It.” There are many ways to lace them from the normal bunny ears knot to the five above, regardless of how you lace them, you’ll be in style and have a comfortable shoe that goes with everything.
