PXG has unveiled its next generation of irons and wedges. The new irons include the 0311 GEN7 P and XP sets – the latest and greatest in PXG’s flagship line – plus the company’s first-ever game improvement iron, the new Black Ops irons.

Along with the new lineup of irons, PXG brought its latest Sugar Daddy wedges to market, the Sugar Daddy III. All the new clubs became available to consumers on August 7, 2024.

Profile: Game Improvement

PXG launched its first true game-improvement iron with the Black Ops irons. Following a traditional game-improvement set, the Black Ops irons feature a thicker topline and more offset than the GEN7 irons, and a low and back center of gravity that helps players launch the ball high while bolstering forgiveness. Relatively strong lofts combine with PXG’s proprietary core material to produce satisfying feel while churning out maximum distance.

Profile: Players/Players Distance

PXG has never been shy about the materials it puts inside its irons, and with the launch of the GEN7 line comes another new core material, QuantomCOR. PXG engineers are excited about the latest material because it allowed them to move weight low and to the perimeter of the club, which in turn improves forgiveness.

Speaking of COR, the 0311 GEN7 is the first PXG iron to match the USGA’s coefficient of restitution (C.O.R) limit. COR is the technical term for what many players think of as the “trampoline effect” which directly influences ball speed.

The 0311 GEN7 XP irons have a slightly larger head, stronger lofts, and more offset to cater to mid to high-handicap players, while the P (players) irons fit low to mid-handicappers best.

Both versions of the 0311 GEN7 irons are available in chrome or black finishes.
