They say you only get one chance to make a first impression, but I have two first impressions of this golf storage rack from MyThingLogic. One is my impression of building the rack out of the box, and the other is my impression of its actual functionality.
Building the rack wasn’t hard, per se, but it wasn’t quick or painless. It comes completely deconstructed, so you have to assemble about a dozen different parts using the included Allen wrench and screws. The instruction manual only has pictures, no words, which didn’t really help, although it’s straightforward enough that you don’t necessarily need a description of each step.
It took me a little more than an hour to assemble the rack with no real sense of urgency. If you’re motivated, I’m sure you could do it in 45 minutes. Some reviewers reported building it in 20 minutes, but if you’re doing it by yourself, I’d budget more time than that.
Once I finished assembling the rack, I immediately loaded it up with all the golf stuff I could find. At this point, I was pleasantly surprised at just how much stuff it holds. I stuck two golf bags, a dozen spare clubs, a set of spare shafts, a few dozen balls, three pairs of shoes, rangefinders, gloves, and even my push cart on the rack.
Considering how little space this rack takes up, it was quite satisfying to get all this stuff in one spot nice and neat, and free up all that space off the workbench in my garage.
MyThingLogic Golf Storage Rack Pros & Cons
To give you an idea of how much this holds, here's everything I stored in this golf bag storage rack from the picture above, but without the rack.
I really don’t have much to complain about with this MyThingLogic golf storage rack. It simply takes a boatload of golf stuff and keeps it neat and organized, something any seasoned golfer who has spent years collecting golf stuff can appreciate.
If we have to nit-pick, beyond the assembly, I’d suggest it might be nice to have a small drawer or some designated storage area for the smaller golf accessories. I’ve got some unique ball markers that are equally as special to me as they are easy to lose, and having a specific storage space in this rack for stuff like that would be nice. When you consider tees, divot tools, and rangefinder batteries, perhaps a solution for these smaller but important items would be useful.
Overall, however, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. Here’s my quick list of pros and cons.
Pros:
- Holds an impressive amount of golf stuff
- Keeps golf stuff organized
- Useful for decluttering golf accessories from other places
- Room for two bags
- Hooks on the side can hold a push cart
- Option to add an additional attachment for a third bag
- Front strap keeps bags secure
Cons:
- Assembly is on the tedious side
- No designated storage for smaller accessories (ball markers, tees, divot tools)
- Industrial look, not a display piece
MyThingLogic Golf Storage Organizer Value
This golf storage rack costs just north of $100. For that, you get a sturdy storage solution that holds a room full of golf stuff.
Unlike most golf gadgets, this one actually satisfies the whole family. The golfers in the house will appreciate having all their golf stuff organized in one place. Meanwhile, the non-golfers can enjoy freeing up the space that was previously occupied by all that golf stuff.
While it’s not a meaningless amount to spend, if you are looking for golf storage solutions, I highly recommend this unit for its efficiency and the sheer volume of stuff it can keep organized. If that’s your goal, this is a good use of $100 in my opinion.
