Cobra Radspeed Hybrid and ONE Length Hybrid Review

Same as the drivers and fairway woods in this series, the main technology at work is radial weighting. This increases the distance between the front and back weights and the center of gravity (CG). The variable-length hybrids average 48 grams per head, and the one-length hybrids are just over 84 grams per head.

The technology in this line is consistently used in the drivers, fairway woods and hybrids. These include:

• CNC Milled Infinity Face - The face design expands the milled area by 95% to increase the zone of maximum ball speed
• Hollow Split Rails - 70% more flex behind the face
• Thin-ply carbon crown - New materials are 4 grams lighter and 30% thinner. Weight can be redistributed to the front of the clubhead

The two Cobra Radspeed Hybrids have one main difference. The ONE is better suited to a player who needs more forgiveness (Radspeed hybrid) and the other is a better fit for a golfer who wants to improve their consistency and accuracy (Radspeed one length hybrid.)

Another difference between the two models is the Radspeed hybrid has a variable length set up and the one length hybrid (as the name implies) has a one length set up.

One length setups were popularized by Cobra tour player Bryson DeChambeau. The main advantage is that you can use the same setup from your hybrids to your wedges to improve consistency. The shaft length is the same as a 7-iron.

The clubhead has a traditional shape, and Radspeed woods are available in two color combinations. A black and turbo yellow, or red and peacoat (which is a blue grey.) Cobra clubs have modern yet bold styling, and that’s consistent throughout the Radspeed line.

Cobra is offering a variation on their hybrids for women golfers. It includes an elderberry colorway, a special women’s stock shaft (UST Recoil 480 X) and it’s available in 4-7 hybrids.
