Not long ago, shopping for women’s golf clubs was more of a hassle than an exciting experience. Manufacturers didn't have nearly as many models available for women as they do today, including putters.

Walk into a golf retailer today and you’ll notice the women’s putter section continues to grow, which we love to see. With that growth comes more decisions. Women are no longer limited to a handful of putter options to choose from.

Many of the technologies we love from today’s men’s putters are available in women’s putters too, which are typically 32 or 33 inches instead of standard men’s putters that usually measure 34 or 35 inches. We’ve also gathered feedback from women of varying skill levels who tested putters and shared their favorites, along with the reasons why.

These seven putters stand out to us as the best putters for women:

  • TaylorMade Kalea Gold Spider S
  • PING G Le3 Anser
  • Evnroll Women's ER2 Legacy Putter
  • Tommy Armour Women's Impact No. 3
  • Odyssey Women's DFX 2-Ball
  • Tour Edge Exotics Wingman 703 Putter
  • Wilson Bean Infinite 2024 Women's Putter

Beauty is only skin deep, and while this TaylorMade Kalea Gold Spider S sure is beautiful, it’s the tech and performance inside the putter that we truly love about it.

Sure, it carries the legendary Spider name, but you don’t have to squint too hard to see that this is essentially a fang-style putter with a bridge at the back. That bridge, however, is where the magic lives. Most of it, anyway.

That’s because that gold bar is actually a 60g tungsten weight that helps the putter produce consistent speeds across the face. Consistent speed means precise distance control, which is the key to kissing three-putts goodbye.

On the other end of the head, TaylorMade equipped this putter with its Pure Roll insert which has 45-degree grooves that make for the best roll possible.

You simply cannot go wrong with an Anser-style putter, or in this case, the actual Anser itself.

The Anser has to be the most imitated putter of all time, and this G Le3 women’s edition delivers all the classic looks, including a satin head, in a 33-inch length.

PING G Le3 branding is reserved for the sole of the blade, so you get nothing but a clean visual at address. Meanwhile, the grip and headcover are adorned with the navy and gold G Le3 color scheme.

This blade putter has some toe hang, so it’s best suited to players with a slight arc in their putting stroke.

If you’re looking for tech in a putter that will help you cut down on three-putts, you have to check out Evnroll putters. The Sweet Face technology found on the face of every Evnroll putter is designed to do exactly that.

The grooves are progressively narrower towards the toe and heel side of the face, which increases energy transfer at impact. That makes up for the distance lost from off-center strikes, ensuring every putt rolls the distance you expect, hence the fundamental technology of Evnroll.

Want the blade style of the aforementioned Anser putter but need a more forgiving option? This ER2 Legacy is a wide blade head that adds forgiveness with minimal compromise on style.

Don’t assume the low price of the Tommy Armour Impact No. 3 putter means compromised performance, because this putter is a proven winner.

The Impact series has all the features of putters that cost twice as much, like a milled face and standard Super Stroke grip. The all-black profile, including a black shaft and branded black grip, make for a sleek look.

From a performance standpoint, the fang-style shape ensures plenty of perimeter weighting for forgiveness. A premium magnetic-closure headcover is the icing on the cake.

The Odyssey Women’s DFX 2-Ball putter is a three-headed monster, and I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for the best bang for the buck in their putter purchase. That is, as long as they like, or can at least live with, a soft-feeling putter. Let’s check it out.

First, the two-ball alignment is simply a powerhouse, proven by over a quarter-century of use by professionals and amateurs alike.

Next, DFX is known for its super-soft face that brings satisfaction to players who crave that feel at impact. In fact, DFX is noticeably softer than Odyssey’s White Hot insert, which itself has a reputation for a nice, soft feel.

Finally, at just $129, this is one of the best budget putters, period.

Here’s a clean-looking fang putter with some really helpful technology features.

The Wingman 703 has Tour Edge’s Lock-On alignment, which helps you get the putter set up perfectly every time.

With most of the clubhead’s weight at the sides and back of the putter, this Wingman helps your putts roll straight even when they don’t come off the center of the face.

Speaking of the face, the micro-groove face is designed for a soft feel, which many players prefer.

Finally, at just $149, the Wingman is certainly one of the most affordable high-quality putters out there.

For $130 you really can’t go wrong with the Wilson Bean Infinite putter, especially if you’re curious what all of the fuss is about.

This putter has a dark matte anti-glare finish, so the alignment lines pop and it reduces glare on sunny days. Its double-milled face is soft and our testers noted the Infinite’s performance from inside of 15-feet as much as anything else on this list.

If this particular shape doesn’t suit your eye, the Infinite line has four different head shapes available in women’s versions, all for between $100 and $130.

Picking Your Putter

Through our testing and feedback, we found that weight, length, and price are the three key areas women should consider when shopping for a new putter.

The one constant among our testers and a majority of women shopping for a new putter is that it must accommodate an average woman’s height.

Similarly, the putter's weight should also be a focus. Women’s putters usually have a smaller, lighter grip, and a lighter shaft. Both contribute to a lighter overall weight and an easier stroke.

Obviously price should be a major factor when shopping for any golf equipment. You can spend anywhere from $50 to $500 on a new putter, so it’s important to determine your budget.

Here’s to picking the perfect putter that makes a long-term home in your golf bag.
