I golfed 4 courses while in vacation in Virginia Beach. Bow Creek was our second favorite. 2010 was a very dry summer, and Bow Creek was in good condition. We were impressed that the greens were in good condition - sprinklers were on around the greens, but once our carts came within a hundred yards, sensors would shut off the sprinklers. The layout was fine for me. I played from the back tees (my drives are 260) and I got to use my 6 - sw (I stated that because many course here are too short - driver/PW). I LOVE THE STAFF - THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY. The pace of play was excellent. My wife and I got around in a little over 3 1/2 hours.The layout is excellent - most fairways are wide and water hazards only hurt the awry shots. This course is no piece of cake - hit the ball straight and you will score well. Thank you Bow Creek staff for a grat round of golf.
