Horrible customer experience. There's this guy with an awful attitude - His name is Eric M Smith. He says, "I am the GM here, and I decide..". I am playing this course for years and never had such an awful customer experience before. He refused us to give the online rate that I booked using the mobile app. He denied us to provide us with the "advantage membership" discount rate as well. The lady at the counter was so nice, and she was helping us to check-in for our round. Suddenly Mr. GM took control of her and changed all the rates the way he wants. When I questioned him, he is like, "I am the GM, I decide all the rates here." Really Eric?? We have so many better courses around, and do you think we need you more than you need us?? Good luck with your GM attitude. Dear Mr. Eric, customers don't care who you are. Customers care about the services that you offer. You are rude and suck at customer service, and your GM attitude is going to kill the friendly environment created by some good people worked before you. Today my friend and I walked out of your golf facility by refusing your sarcastic offer of a free round; you lost two long term customers. My friends and I will never play this course again until I find you are gone. Whoever appointed you as a GM made a colossal mistake, and I am sure your management will be disappointed seeing more customer churns in the coming months. If you had thought this was about the money, you got it wrong. My relationship with this golf course was about much more than that. You can find that easily if you ask around. Truly understanding your customer needs will help you improve not only the customer's golfing experience but also your bottom line, whatever it is.
Had a great time as always. The new GM and staff are 10x better than the old staff! They get out and actually will help and even see them working the front desk! Yes sometimes they are in the offices on computers because I guess they actually have to do work but some people don't understand that I guess. So glad that they are changing the culture at Broad Run, this place is usually over run with the white trash golfers of NOVA. They are establishing a culture that is a true golf facility! Excited to finally see Broad Run trying to step up the game!!!!
Beware, this facility is under new management and the GM and Manager are a joke. The management of any establishment should have personality and be the face of the business. If you have a problem, go look in their office...they will be playing on the computer. If this was the only course on a deserted island, so be it. I'd suck it up. But there are several courses within miles that hands down slay this place.
