In a word...WOW. I play many many different courses in a year, typically one per week and Bayou is one of the best values to be had. For starters, the maintainance is very good and the greens play to a somewhat fast pace, but provide fair reads. Although the course isn't overly challenging and doesn't have many unique holes it does allow quality shots to be made. It also has all the amenities one could ask for which normally doesn't add nor subtract to how I rate a course. But when you have a driving range, putting and chipping area, a great club house and a cart girl, one can not ask for much more. I live in New Jersey so this course also offered something I can't ever get as well, which is a chance to see an alligator on the course. Really cool. Also they have these birds there, I'm sure the locals know the name of them, but they make all different kinds of crazy noises which also was neat to hear and see. The value is second to none for the quality of the course. $15 to walk peak hours on the weekend is an absolute steal. They have logo balls for the collector like myself, a huge plus. All in all a fantastic course, great deal and I'd highly reccommend playing here whether you live somewhat close or are just visiting the area. Overall rating an A.
